International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day!

It is nice to celebrate women and post fancy pictures on Ig with rosy captions and hashtags like #internationalwomensday #iwd but is there any value attached to this day beyond the fuzz?

Women deserve more than a day to celebrated. Conscious effort should be made by everyone to make the world a better place for each woman. The change starts with the way we think about women, the treatment in the homes, at work, in social environment etc. Small changes lead to big impacts.

The theme for the International Women’s Day this year is #breakthebias. What steps are you taking to break the bias? Till women are completely free to express themselves like men do, there’s still a long way to go.

Women are tired of being strong and independent. We don’t want to work two times more to be recognised at work. We don’t want to have a mental break down before men realise that making a home is a joint effort. There’s more be being a woman than cooking, cleaning, pleasure and being cute.

I am proud to be a woman and I celebrate all the women out there. We rock! Remember to break the bias.

Thank you for reading and Happy International Women’s Day once again.
